Todo Lite Productivity App
This app is a robust task list maker for those who like to give themselves little reminders of things they need to accomplish. To get started you touch one of the plus buttons at the top of the screen — either the quick add button with a plus sign and a lightning bolt, where you simply enter the name of the task, or the large plus sign, which lets you pick a due date and time and rank your task by priority as well as enter more detailed notes.

It also allows you to create repetitive tasks so you only have to type them in once even if you must do them on multiple days. You simply set how often you’d like to repeat them, with options from daily to every year as well as customizable intervals, such as every third day of the month. There’s one touch access to schedule a task of calling or emailing a contact off of your list or visiting a physical location or website.

Once you have your task list built, the app will sort tasks by priority, by due date or alphabetically. You can also hide tasks based on priority so you can see the most important ones without having to dig through all of the others. If you have an account with Remember the Milk or Toodledo you can sync your task list to one or both of these online services.

You don’t even have to log in to the app to see if you have current reminders. Simply scroll to the Todo icon in your app list and you’ll see the number of tasks you have due or overdue. They’ll disappear as you check them off by touching completed at the bottom of the edit task screen. This app is helpful to anyone that makes lists on a regular basis. My only complaint is that I wish it could sync to Outlook.

Typing Genius

Typing Genius iPhone App
Even if you’re a master at the keyboard on your computer, your iPhone typing can be different story. In order to make the transition from fingers to thumbs easier, you can tutor yourself with Typing Genius.

Basic exercises train you to use the left and right side of the keyboard separately as well as together and even incorporate capital letters. Intermediate exercises introduce numbers and punctuation, while advanced exercises also incorporate symbols, like slashes and currency signs. Once you’ve mastered all three of these levels, you’re ready for Pro, which uses every character that the iPhone’s keyboard can handle.

Although the exercise section is a helpful tool, I think most people would best spend their time in the practical section. This includes training in the 100 of the most popular words, word phrases, complete sentences and even text message slang. For every tutorial you complete, the app tracks your statistics so that you can view your improvement and see where you tend to make mistakes. It even has a way to track friends’ stats so you can compete for bragging rights.

All exercises allow you to use either landscape or portrait mode, with separate statistics on each. That way you can get practice for whichever way you hold your phone. There’s also a helpful tips section that gives you advice on how to use basic features of the keyboard, such as one touch access to numbers, as well as more advanced actions, like how to turn on the hidden feature of caps lock.

Still an iPhone typing neophyte, I found this app to be extraordinarily helpful. Here’s hoping it can help me keep up a bit better with my emails and text messages.

Sonic Boom

Sonic Boom App Review                        Sonic Boom iPhone App

Sonic Boom iPhone App
Sonic Boom is the perfect stress reliever. Any time you feel the need to blow something up simply launch this app and have at it.

This app is incredibly easy to learn, especially since when you open it up it will present you with a tutorial on how to use it. After the tutorial, you are presented with an image of a firecracker which you can make bigger by using the native pinch/pull gestures. To light your firecracker swipe your finger on the brown match strip at the bottom of the screen. Once you see flames you can tap the fuse. (If you don’t, nothing will happen.) After the fuse burns down you’ll be privy to a nice explosion complete with the firecracker being blown to bits.

If you really enjoy explosions, you can even slow down the action using the on-screen speed adjuster so you can relish in your kablooey a little longer, and when you are done you can put your finger on the screen and spin the remains 360 degrees.

Feeling a little vindictive? Try touching the options menu. Then you can touch the picture of a camera to add photos to the side of your fireworks. This is a good nonviolent and legal way to punish that certain somebody who might be deserving. Another interesting feature is the compatibility with the Sonic Lighter app. If you have another phone with that app running, you can use the lighter on your fuse by putting the phones near each other.

This is another one of those non-practical apps that is still darn fun to use.

Ambiance – Ambient Sound App

Ambianceicon                     Ambianceicon

Ambiance, The perfect iPhone App for noisy Airports, reading in crowded coffee shops or Packed Subways. Ambiance now offers 45 different Ambient sounds to help you fall asleep, drowned out loud distracting noise around you so you can concentrate on whatever it is you may be doing.

With this particular App some of the sounds even with volume all the way up are hard to here, so I did all my review testing using my headphone which I believe is the only way to use Ambiance. I did several tests from falling asleep to riding the Subway this morning to the SBA Offices and found this App is pretty cool and effective even though it is such a plain simple Application.

I found it quite remarkable that listening to birds cherpping could relax me yet allow me to concentrate on filling out the forms I needed to and be completely unaware of any surrounding noise.

Ambiance allows you to set a timer so it will automaticlly shut off after a certain time. You can adjust volume levels, Show front controls, Set alarms or to just go quite after timer ends, you have the option to delete any sound and customize the sounds in the playlist and choose weather to fade volume or not at timers end..

My overall thoughts and rating in Good, I would recommend this iPhone App to anyone who works around machinery or loud offices, riders on the subway, and anyone that deals with loud places to consider Abiance at $.99 it wont break your pocket and it is worth a buck for sure.

Happy Sleeping And Reading To All Who Purchase This App! Purchase This App!
